Gary Hendley
GM - San Antonio Branch

As General Manager of the San Antonio Branch, Gary Hendley is responsible for all phases of the Branch operations. Gary has in depth knowledge of Office and Industrial relocation, Home delivery, Household relocation and Logistics. He has been instrumental in the implementation and servicing of many statewide projects that involve not only delivery but installation and assembly of a wide variety of products for many clients. Gary is also a Vice President of the Corporation.

Gary has been with EDC for 24 years and in the related industry for 37 years. He started at the crew level and has held virtually all positions within the moving industry. His philosophy is based on a common sense approach. EDC realizes that our best value to the Customer is to fill a void where few in the transportation industry have ventured. Over the years EDC has taken experience gained from past projects, applied it to the new projects presented, adapted to the new variables and implemented a new service. The ability to adapt and accept change, coupled with common sense and the corporate wide desire to please Customers is our strength.

Gary is a native Texan, was honorably discharged from the United Sates Marine Corps after four years of active service in 1970 and then attended Sam Houston State University. While in College, he started his transportation career part time and chose to stay in the industry. He has been active in many professional organizations to include the San Antonio Movers Association, the Southwest Movers Association and the San Antonio Transportation Club. He also has served on many of the Boards. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Southwest Movers Association.

Personally, Gary is involved in Social and Charitable organizations. He is past Chairman for St Jude’s Ranch for Children (Bulverde Campus) and has a seat on the National Board of Trustees. The organization serves abused or abandoned children of all ages. He is also past President of the Texas Corvette Association which is not only dedicated to the preservation of America’s Sports car but helps many charities each year.

Gary’s greatest joy is his marriage to his wonderful wife Karin and his four loving daughters. His primary hobby is “cars” which has been responsible for meeting many fine friends.
